Hi,  I’m  EVOKE

But  you  can  call  me  Alden

I make music, videos,

Videos about music,

And music about videos

Praised as "The human consciousness, expressed in a genuinely new way" by Stereo Stickman and lauded for a "genre blend of electro-pop with an unprecedented post-dubstep sound" by LAonLock, Evoke's mark on the music scene is undeniable.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2014, Evoke's unique amalgamation of raw, introspective songwriting coupled with intricate production quickly captured attention. In just a year, Evoke clinched victories in multiple remix competitions hosted by Fractal and Savant, soared to the Top 10 charts on Beatport and Track It Down, and unveiled 'Answers' with Pusher—a track celebrated by EDM.com as one of the most played of all time.

Evoke, whose real name is Alden Woford Groves (they/them), was born in Greeley, Colorado, in 1994. Their sound, imbued with the resonances of a turbulent youth in the Colorado rave culture, began taking shape during their high school years. Early releases saw them sharing pulsating dance tracks on platforms like YouTube and Facebook, and setting the vibe at house parties and events in Boulder.

However, behind the burgeoning DJ and producer persona lay challenges—Groves grappled with a tumultuous upbringing, drug dependency, and self-harm. At 17, a battle with opioid addiction led them to an in-patient rehab facility. With the clarity of sobriety, Groves transformed pain into art, giving birth to the Evoke project. As a flagship artist of Adapted Records, Evoke rapidly became a pillar of Colorado’s emergent bass music scene.

The Evoke sound has been evolving and changing ever since, incorporating elements of hip-hop, alt rock, pop, R&B, and experimental music. With previous hits like Departure with Egzod, and Future Holds, with Laura Brehm, Evoke has amassed millions of plays and a devoted fanbase across platforms as both a vocalist and a producer.

Beyond music, Evoke maintains a strong connection with their fans on YouTube, sharing candid videos on mental health that have resonated deeply with many. Currently, Groves is embarking on a groundbreaking journey with a new series that features an AI as their music manager, showcasing the fusion of technology and artistry. A relaunch of the Evoke project begins November 10th, 2023 with the release of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and much more is soon to come in 2024.
